how do i ask a guy to go my prom?

i really want to go to prom but with a guy of course but i don't know how to ask them i'm scared that he'll say no and i know that i wouldn't want to ask nobody else

You should probably go out on a date with him before the prom to see if he's all you think he is. Something a little more low-key. See if he'd go out for dinner and a movie or something. If he's in, then while you're on that date (like if it goes well, near the end...) say "hey, I was wondering if you'd be willing to go to the prom with me."

I understand that if you go to an all girl school you may not have any choice but to ask the guy. Also, in this day and age, even in a co-ed school there is nothing wrong with a girl taking the lead. Find a time when he is all alone. Remember that guys do go through a lot of rejection, so sometimes you may have to also. Keep in mind if he says no, that's all it is, is a word. But if he says yes that's wonderful.

Start a conversation with him, hi, hello, how are you. After he responds, simply say "I'd like to ask you if you'd go to the prom with me as my date (some guys can be dense so you have to be specific). Either he says yes, no, or will ask if he can get back to you with an answer. If he asks to get back with you, ask him if he can give you an answer in two days. (That way you won't be waiting forever if he's trying to avoid the situation). If he doesn't give you an answer, you can then approach him nicely and say, "I'm assuming that you are not going to be able to take me to the prom, but wanted to ask you to make sure first". This gives him the ability to tell you yes, tell you if he has a problem, or tell you no.

I dated a guy that I asked to my prom. He didn't want to go because he didn't have a car. When I told him thanks, I would ask someone else, he suddenly found the nerve to ask his dad for his car.

Not to go man vs. woman here, but now do you see what we guys feel when we are about to ask a woman out? Welcome to potential rejectionville.

The best thing you can do is go right up to the guy you want to ask to the prom and ask him out. What do you have to lose besides a hot on your pride and ego? Think about it this way. If he says no, you won't be going out with him just as much as if you didn't ask him out in the first place.

If he doesn reject you, he may already have a date to the prom as well as he may potentially not be interested in you. You just have to move on to the next guy. In the end it is his loss and not yours.
