I agree with you. There are enough bad, mean, greedy etc. people in the world. It never hurts to be nice. I don't let people walk all over me but I don't go out of my way to be bad. I think of all of the times nice people helped me out and it makes me happy.

In just about every phase of life you can use the motto" JUST BE NICE" ..It says it all. In business, socially, as a person, and in love, just being nice is the best way to be. You know nice people have a reputation that everyone comments on....I never hear anyone speak highly of a bad person---and bad is a relative term---but it denotes a less than desireable trait--bad businessman, bad ball player, bad girl, bad boy, bad driver, lousy personality, bad language. I feel that mud and water always seek their own level---people who feel they need to be bad are too lazy or self indulged to work at being nice. Easier to be bad,and if you are asking about being a BAD girl---we know what it means---but no one spends much time with a bad girl---usually about an hour and that's it---used for what the reputation implies. Walk tall, be proud and be nice---if you are a nice person--I would like to know you. Good luck

Depends on what you trust, and how long you've been acquainted. I prefer nice until someone gets to know me, then they can pretty much be as bad as they want. Of course, I'm a redneck though.

Yes I find it nicer to be nice to nice people who are nice to me and nice to others in Britain which is a very nice country full of nice places to go to and have a nice time, when the weather is nice. But nice weather is not something the UK gets very often so its nice to be outside when it is NICE! Thanks for asking such a nice question.on Yahoo where there are lots of nice people.
Have a NICE DAY!

Most of the time, yes. But there are times where being nice is actually a disservice to the other person and to yourself, such as enabling somebody else.

Interesting question....I believe that being nice always pays off in the long run. Of course, depending one the situation, if being bad is what she wants...well then be nice and be bad! :)

I prefer nice. It keeps me in friends, genuine ones!
Also, I think it takes less effort to be nice, for whatever reason. In addition it shows one's breeding, socialization, class, and and overall manners.

I think it's nice to be nice, but the majority of Y! Answers don't feel that way.
