Don't get me wrong I believe in god, but why does everyone seem to think you have to be in church to talk to him. I can talk to him anywhere. I just don't understand why if I'm not in church I'm a bad person.

Because, if You don't go to any church, then You never see the 'collection-plate' and therefore don't give them a tax-free income out of Your own pocket-!

They HATE that-!

It's not really a 'belief-in-god' that they're concerned about.....$$$

Because you cannot fulfill your the destany God has for you, by being anti-social, did Jesus, just stay in his father's workshop until it was time to go on the cross, no he ran the infadels out of the temple and he preached and he ate with the sinners and he preached the good word. People need what you have and you trying to be alone isn't goong to help the people that need you, oh God can find someone to take your place, but then you would miss out on the blessing of helping that person, or healing someone or speaking lofe into someone's elses life, or praying for someone, or sharing your pain, so someone does not make the same mistake you did. And church is a place to worship God to. People need people. And who knows maybe others have something you may need.

It does not mean you are a bad person, but I do believe people should go to church because it gives you insight into the bible and helps you stay firm with what you believe. however, it does not mean you are a bad person if you do not go to church.

Beleive in Christ Jesus and do not put your faith in church. Going to church cannot save you, only Christ Jesus Himself can save you. That being said: The Gospels do encourage us to worship together and draw strength from one another and not to forsake the gathering together as some do. The bottom line is: It is good to be saved, but it is better to be saved and go to church. I believe this is so because God wants us to learn to serve one another. A good place to serve, is our church. We can serve God by giving 10% of our income, we can serve God and Others by offering to help with church activities-etc. I suggest you pray about this situation and do what God leads you to do. Maybe you need to find a new church, whatever, just pray about it and know full well that you are saved by faith in Christ Jesus. Period.

Because there are people who need to be grouped, that need psychological bonding with others in the things that believe in. And since being affected positively by their church, hope to bring the same feeling to others around them. This is natural grouping for humans, this spans across sports, hobbies, study, school etc.

God set aside Sunday as a day for us to praise him and where better than at a church. I don't think ppl are trying to talk you into going to church, they simply are encouraging you to attend because they know that it is crutial to stay focused on God on Sunday and take that time to praise him.

Well it helps my faith but sometimes people just think it will make you feel better and fellowship with fellow christians is great. But if that is your choice, you are not a bad person at all. That is just your choice. I talk to god all the time. While I am driving, in the shower so just as long as you can talk to him, you are fine

Jesus said to go to church.Forsake not the assembling of yourself together. The gifts are given to the church to bless the body of Christ. If you are not in church, you are telling God ,you don't need him.
God is every where and yes you can talk to him ,everywhere. But I need you to in courage me at church. So you are hurting the body of Christ.<><
