Yes, although it may appear that the outer gum has healed, under the gum is still healing. It can take up to six weeks or more.

It depends on how much pain you are talking about. If you can't eat comfortably and feel some throbbing pain, you may have a "dry socket" or an infection.

It is best to see your dentist or oral surgeon to have it checked out just in case. If it is an infection, you need to knock it out before it gets REALLY painful!

Oh yeah, for sure!! Give it another week, and if you are having any concerns, call your dentist. Remember to gently rinse with warm salt water, it will help your mouth heal alot faster.
