I have been dating my girlfriend off and on for about 5-6 years. When we are together, she says that I am the one for her. We talk about eventually getting married, having kids, etc..., but she does not yet want to have sex with me. She says that she has nothing against pre-marital sex, but the time is just not right. Where is this going????

Sounds like it's going nowhere. Why do you not have a ring and a wedding date yet? After this long, you either want to be married or you don't. If you want to be married, propose. You'll find out in a hurry if she was serious about wanting to marry you or not.

And if you don't want to marry her enough to propose now? There's your answer.

She's waiting for some kind of commitment. She doesn't trust you completely, so either commit, or tell her you don't want that. You can't just talk about commiting, you have to actually take steps in that direction.
