Hi everyone. I have a religion crisis. I had two dogs. One was a doxie named Cupcake and she was only eight years old, perfect health. The other was a mix breed of boxer, great dane, and some saint bernard and her name was Tasha, had several fatty tumors and one that was placed beside her tail.

Tasha perished a couple of days before Cupcake. Tasha fell down the stairs and became paralyzed. She was 14 years old. She sat in pain for one day before she passed from the tumor near her tail. I prayed to God early that day to give her last moments without pain.

Cupcake and I went for a walk when she ate some grass. What I didn't know was that some punk dumped anti-freeze over night in that spot. Her kidneys failed and she was rushed the vet. They did all they could. I had prayed to God to take me instead of her. She had no right to go now. It's only been two days. I think that God is punishing me and I don't know why. I'm afraid that he is going to take my dog now. Give your opinion.

The fualt lies not w/ u but w/ the little **** who poored the anti-freeze on the lawn. God gave us freewill so that we can fully love him, but that means we can fully reject him as well. It means we can do good or evil. Becuase of that, people have the power to hurt eachother. That punk is the sinner here, not you. And your dogs, I know it's sad, but i believe that they will be with us in the next life. As for your dog that's still alive, I will pray that God's will be done. God Bless, Ryan

God isn't punishing you because it does not exist. To the fool who said that "everything is according to god's plan," all I can say is "Hogwash!" Ask yourself what the world would be like if god wasn't real, and you will discover it would look just like it does now: full of pointless suffering because Nature is unconscious and incapable of caring one way or the other.

This isn't cynicism, though, only realism. Remember the joyful moments you had with your pets, as I have with mine, and take comfort in the fact that there is some love in the world in spite of it all. It doesn't last forever but that doesn't make it less real, only more precious. Think about that.

A final thought: if god is real (against all the odds), it may be god but it certainly isn't a kind or merciful one. Imagine all the pain and suffering that goes on all over the world every day, when predators kill their prey, animals or people become injured or sick thru no fault of their own, people betray each other or say hateful things, etc. The world is literally a bloody mess, and none of it would be necessary if a god gave a damn!

And I have to say all these namby-pamby platitudes that the believers are feeding you are making me sick to my stomach. God can take his "plan" and shove it if it causes that much agony! And where, pray tell, is the "lesson" when a rabbit is skinned alive by an eagle hundreds of miles away from any human?

I respect and honor your grief.

God does not "punish" you. It is the choice of your dog to depart if it comes to pass. God does not "kill" and even though I could never attempt to find the answer on this. Let go and listen to your heart and spend these moments just loving and comforting your beloved pet.

You mentioned your Tasha just perished a couple of days prior. I cannot be certain on this however; there is a possibility that your Cupcake misses Tasha and chooses to be together.

Again; this is only my observation and the answer to all this resides within you.

spend these moments in love is my suggestion to you.

I'm sorry for your loss.

God created every living thing. There is a time for everything under the sun. The person who dumped the anti-freeze needs to be confronted and understand what has happened.

It's really difficult sometimes. But it's God's plan, not ours.

God Bless and Keep you in all you do.

Hi, I know it hurts a lot to lose a dog. You must love her a lot, since you wanted to go instead of her.
First, not necessarily God is punishing you, things just happen sometimes, since we are in a sinful world.
Second, anyway, look for spirit-filled Christians to pray for your dog, if you can. My mother-in-law is a full-of-the-spirit Christian, and she has prayed several times for her dog, and it has been healed to a certain extend (he is very old for a dog, anyway). Anyway, there is no guarantie that your dog will be healed.

Remember, sometimes it is better for the dog to go, think that she will rest and have no more suffering.

God loves you so much that he wouldn't answer your prayer to go in the place of the dog. You will understand that someday.

In God's world, we do not have any control, only God does. We do not know why things happen, we just need to learn from past mistakes, repent and move on. My God is very forgiving, once I ask for forgiveness, he forgets my sin. God know the future, their may be a reason for your dogs to die that you aren't aware of yet. Pray and stay faithful, that is my advice.

Dear tasha, I would first like to say that Im sorry for your loss, its hard when we lose anything to death, but it is ineviteble that death is a part of life. God designed us in His image, gave us a soul and has a will for us,the Bible dosent say the same about pets. God understands it is sad, when we lose a pet, But God is more concerned about us, than he is our pets, Christ died for us and our sins, But God has a completely diferent plan for pets. God is not punishing you, but he wants you to understand His will, he has one will for us as humans and another for our pets. Please, pray continue to read Gods word and ask him for guidence,he will never let you down, and he can help you releave the pain in losing something you love, because he loves you.
God Bless

No, God isn't punishing you. You were gifted with your pets for as long as you have them. Unforseen things happen.
I just noticed a large lump on my dog, behind his collar, and he has had a marked loss in energy the last few weeks. I am calling the animal clinic tomorrow. I am crying inside, hes nine.
I know how you feel. Just know that if we love our pets like members of the family, then surely God has a place for them.

God will not punish you until you stand before him to be judged for the things you have done in your life. God is trying to make you stronger and even though it hurts and you dont understand why now someday you will. God would never give you anything he did not think you could handle, this life is a test, maybe God wants to see if you will continue to believe in him faithfully now that he has taken you 2 dogs or if you will curse his name and turn your back on him.

I think that your family would be horrified to know that you would rather die and your dog live. I do feel badly for you, because you love them dearly, but you are a human being with a soul; animals have no souls. God most likely isn't punishing you - why would He? What horrible things have you done to warrant God's punishment? God isn't taking your dogs from you. You are just going through a crisis that you will eventually emerge from.
