I have Windows Vista Beta on my computer right now. I was wondering if there was a difference between it and the "actual" version (except the bugs & glitches). Sorry if i sound stupid, i'm just not very educated in this field, lol. blessed be.

Well, in principle is the same only that if you have the beta 2 there's serious failures in windows applications and some compatibility issues, if you have the release candidate 1, is almost the same as the final version. The problem is that both the beta 2 and the rc1 will stop working june 2007.

hope it helps

Beta definition
Formally, it is a product in that is in its final stages of testing. Often, especially with FOSS, a beta version of a product (or beta product), will be made available to the public for general use and may contain minor bugs. This is done so that the product can be tested on a large-scale in the field, and allow people to start using new tools as soon as possible.
