i beleive it does, the pharmacist says they don't, but the truth is that any benzodiazapine (valium, xanax etc.) over the course of 8-15 months will cause the bodies metabolism to slow down, i did my own research on this, even my doctor was not aware of the studies that i found, but yet, i gained about 75lbs in a matter of 6 months, and then just stopped, my diet has not changed, and neither has my level of activity, just goes with the territory, be well, any other questions feel free to email me earthchild8888@yahoo.com

Any med could have section consequences... i individually lost 20 kilos on Prozac yet i think of that's by technique of the fact i finished eating out of melancholy... seem at your schedule and notice in case you have extra nutrition to existence now which you sense better... All meds of this type have a tendency to have efects on weight and labito etc... If this one does not artwork for you attempt yet another one... permit the MD understand.... Effexor isn't suppsoed to have all the burden themes of Prozac....

Yes, they do. I have taken various antidepressants (including the ones you describe) for years, and they DO increase your appetite. You just can't stop eating while on some of these meds. However, if you can control your eating urges (which is very hard to do) you will lose weight again, pills or no pills.

It's possible, which is why you should watch late night snacks and calorie intake. My friend had the same problem.
