Am I supposed to believe that I should prepare pick-up lines for the sign of peace?
"Peace be with" "No, hun, peace is being with you." (then I wink)
But seriously, I'm curious what you all mean by meeting women at church.
I'll add I'm Catholic so I don't know if that changes anything.

Thanks, I'm not a moron. That's called a joke, hence the "but seriously" on the next line.

see, i'm not sure if church is a good pick up place. I tried dating people in church when I was a teenager. Everyone knew my business.
Go to college, where you can meet some nice, smart, pretty girls.

No, not pick-up lines.
Get involved at church - that means more than simply going to mass. For one thing, you could always arrive early - then sit next to someone and introduce yourself. Say something like "Hello, I'm ____. I've seen you before a couple of times."
Volunteer! You can help out at church picnics or barbeques, or help at bazaars or clothing collections. The more involved you get, the more people you'll meet. Join the choir, or help take up the collection. Even if the choir is made up of mostly older women, remember that they may very well be impressed with what a nice, church-going man you are, and want to play matchmaker with their daughters, nieces and friends children.
Finally, keep in mind that different churches have different compositions - some will have plenty of young singles, others will be mostly families or older parishioners. Ask your priest if he can recommend a church in your area that has a younger congregation where you might fit in.

I don't think that church is neccessarily the best place to meet a woman. I think that you are right that the sign of peace is the only opportunity to talk during Mass--not exactly enough time to get a good conversation going. If you want to meet a "church girl," you should probably join church activities or a committee or something. But, honestly, if you are only doing it for the opportunity to meet women, it will probably take more effort than it will be worth. I'd suggest meeting women though a dating website and targeting your search toward religious women, if that is important to you.

not all ppl that go to church have the same beliefs. Not all of them are good..but not all are bad either. It's a really good start tho.
