The program loads but won't run. I tried the compatability wizard but that doesn't help either.

On a previous version of Oregon Trail I had a problem, and did some web searching and found it was a known problem with a particular OS and video card, and got the info to fix it.

So, I suggest first going to the Oregon Trail website to look for help, then keep looking from there. It is likely it is a known problem that has a fix you can get.

Good Luck!!

Oregan trail, at least when i used it 20 years ago, relied on the processor clock for its timing. You might need to install an emulator with a slower clock speed in order to run the game.

Ok, apparently there have been a few updates in the past few years, please disregaurd my answer :)
