BMI - BODY MASS INDEX

You have normal weight... Over 160, you're over-weight.
Other person is underweight and needs to reach 125lbs to have normal healthy weight.

Sounds like you are at a great weight for your height. In terms of that, you are healthy. How healthy you are overall would depend on your lifestyle. Your friend seems a bit underweight. She is pretty tall and should really be weighing more than that. Some people are able to eat and eat and not gain any weight. I have a friend who is like that. She's been super skinny all her life. If your friend cannot get her weight up on her own, make sure she talks to a doctor to determine if she is healthy where she is at. He/she can put her on special shakes that will help her gain a little weight.

Your friend would be considered anorexic. I am 5'6" and when I was ill I was 110 lbs - I should weigh 130 at the very least.

Check out this website http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ and it will tell you the healthy weight range for your height.

Quoting from a table of ideal weights for 16 year olds a girl who is 5' 8" weight is 134 pounds and for a girl who is 5' 9" it is 138 pounds.

Nutritionists say for every 5ft you should weight 100lbs and for every inch after that should be 5lbs. So if you are 5'8 you should weight around 140, so if your 137 your in good shape better than average. Your friend sounds a little to thin.

You are not fat, and she is under weight for her height but if she is young she may just be growing up right now and the weight will come later. You weigh exactly the correct amount, when she grown physically she should weigh about 140-145.

Your friend is very underweight! Her BMI is 16.2 so if she has not been eating lately then she might have an eating disorder because her weight is so low.
Your weight is fine! Your BMI is 20.8. Mine is 20.7 and people think I am an ok weight, so you are perfect, but help your friend out.

Your tall and you can be healthy and still weigh slightly more, I would think that your friend looks a little too skinny, and I would think that could be unhealthy.

If you go here, you can calculate what weights you guys should be around. This is for adults, usually teens weigh less.
