Okay i am blonde and my hair is starting to turn brown...My friend says buy some highlights and have my friend's mom do it. I am getting a haircut tommorow and I would like to think what would you do. I mean when people say is your hair natural I love saying yes but I love my hair blonde. Help?

I wouldn't get highlights. Once you get them you HAVE to keep them up in order to not look trashy! This means dishing out a chunk of money and time every 4-6 weeks for maintenance. It is a pain. I would suggest going with an all over color instead. It looks more natural and has less maintenance required. Pick one close to the color blonde that you were, and your new brown hairs will just add contrast to it. It will look great! And all over color is much cheaper than highlights. Also, highlights with bleach damage your hair and it takes forever to get it healthy again. And having an unprofessional do your hair can end up in a disaster. I think that highlights are ugly. Sorry but they are. Is your hair starting to turn brown from the season change? I know that my hair did that alot during season changes. I'm blonde too that is now a dark blonde light brown due to the season change. By summer though it will be bright blonde again.

highlights is sort of a big thing. i mean if you dont like them your sort of stuck with em. i also loved saying my hair was natural until i got highlights. i'm brunette so with blonde highlights it look really good. i sya you make the decision of whether or not to get them because you may not like them. i say get small streaks (n only a few) for your first time then if you like em you can get more n bigger n thicker (if u want)

Definitely get highlights. I think that many dark blonde girls look way better with lighter highlights, they will make you stand out more. If you get them natural looking, many people will still think that it's your natural hair. Good luck!

i mean i think natrual hair is a lot better than some thick blond highlights i think you should just leave your hair the way it is and if its bothering you then just get your hair done at a salon just dont make the highlights thick and covering your whole head also dont get it totally a different color then your normal hair color you have now

Think about it. I recently got my first set of highlights, and I've wanted to do it for a long time.
If you want to, got for it. Try something new. Just tell the hair person thats doing your highlights that you want to look natural.

If you want blond highlights, see someone who can give them to you without them looking like you "bought" them. You want people to see your hair as pretty, not chemically accented. Do not let someone touch your hair unless they have "lots" of experience and good taste.

That may be something you should ask your mom if you could do, but I say do it. Highlights really perk up hair and it brings attention to the face.

dont get the highlights until after you get your haircut becuz if your highlights r thick it makes your hair look shorter. so just wait to see how you like your hair cut first then see if you still want them.

but dye and get ur freinds mom 2 do it u should get dark brown and make it look like u have blonde highlights
