Yes, but not the active duty chaplains. They aren't allowed to accept any sort of payment. Retired or auxillary chaplains are usually handling the funeral out of the kindness of their own heart... but they still might not accept a tip.

You have already paid in full for the services. A funeral director doesn't expect a tip. If you were really pleased with how things were handled, let him know. You can also recommend the funeral home to others.

I would say no as all chaplains are Officers and receiving much more pay than a preacher in normal day service. It all depends on what rank the officer is, but they are doing well. You can ask the Chaplain as they have programs that they are working on, but I would say no.

No, the military chaplain is just performing the duties as part of the job.

I'm not sure about military funerals but when my husband and I lost a baby girl back in Aug we gave our minister $100 for performing her funeral service.

No.
He's preforming his job.
Though my husband did tip the Chaplin after our Military Wedding.
I asked, has anyone seen the huge silk floral display that I was going to keep for our foyer?
My husband felt the need to tip him and that's all he could think of.
Silly hu?
