i want to join boxing so bad i train hard i bought gloves bag everything but my dad doesnt want me to join hes nice and everything but still, after few days he said go ahead do what ever you want but i no if i join hes not probaly gana talk to me and yea we have a nice strong relationship as a father and son but what can i do to make his mind and enjoy what his son is doing im not a bad kid or anyhting im smart and all but boxing is my life. help for advise

Join, he needs to grow up, not you. If your relationship has a strong basic foundation, he will be fine.

If boxing is that important to you then do it.
Once he realizes how happy you are and interested he will come around.
If you have a great relationship, then he will talk to you, don't worry.
He needs a little time to digest what you are doing.
He now knows you are at an age when you will be making your own decisions in life and you must realize this is necessary if you are to grow up and be mature and independent.
I know you respect him and his wishes, but you should not put aside a dream because of fear... fear of what he thinks.
You have to grow up and he maybe just realized that you are not a kid anymore and he needs to let go a bit.

If hes nice and stuff like u say he is then u can join boxing and show him what u can do and he'll be proud of u if not now or right after u do so he will be someday. When ur on TV he'll be sittin there saying "that's my boy".

He's your dad, he will love you no matter what you do. He must have been worried about you to say no. He may have realized your growing up and will be fine. Just go up to him and say you will not box if he doesnt want you to. He will most likely tell you its ok , to go ahead ...And remember, sometimes dads may get mad. I have been know to get mad at my son..but I love him more every day... Most parent build their life around their childern. Please let him know your fear.im sure he will try to hug you and tell you he loves you.

my dad told me to be whatever i want to be but be professional. so i would say to you do whatever you want to do and be professional boxer and make him proud that you are his son.
