Can someone please help me with Windows Defender?

I keep getting this message "Application failed to initialize 0x800106ba. A problem caused Windows Defender Service to stop. To start the service, restart your computer or search help and support on how to start a service manually" I have no idea what any of this means. I have tried to start a service manually, however I dont understand what kind of service I need to run.

Did you buy Windows Defender? If not, the beta has expired. You probably ought to re-install if you bought it. Just uninstall it in CONTROL PANEL | ADD/Remove Programs. Then re-install it. That ought to fix it.
