Hi there, easy. I understand u do not want to take this relationship to the next level, I'll try 2 provide u with a few sentences that are border line, perhaps more on the friendship side along with the translation;

1- Ya Ibny - literally means "my son" but widely used in arabic between friends, just like Tia in Spanish means cousin, yet used to express friendship.

2- Enta Homar: Literally translates into "u r a donkey" again widely used as a quick joke, especially if u r debating an issue

3- Mafeesh Zayak - translates into: there is no one like u. U r special in an indirect manner.

4- Enta Magnoun - You are crazy in a funny way

I tried to keep them nice & short to help make life easier for u. Need more, just mail me. Hope they work for u

good personally u shud pass to locations wherein the primary language is arabic such because the core east of direction round there and be across the persons and pay attention to them and check out to talk to them additionally. it builds your vocabulary very very good. your much more likely to be trained arabic quicker in case your best round persons who talk the language, that means ur pressured to be trained it so as get round. and with the writing you might most of the time get anyone who is aware of arabic very good and allow them to educate u without spending a dime or whatever.
