Well, there is know such thing as an average person so that is a hard question to answer, but I would estimate 15 minutes for the first mile at a walking pace and probably about 20 minutes for the second because after the first you might get tired. So total about 35 minutes.

Usually anywhere between 15 to 25 minutes. In poor shape 25 minutes perhaps more, In decent shape around 20 minutes, in great shape more like 15 minutes.

If you start out with a 20 minute mile-it would take 40 minutes.
Then you get faster and faster!
