talking to a girl?

well i just got this girls number from one of my friends (keep in mind that she doesnt live near me, so i cant talk to her in person) and i texted her the other day and never got a response, and im not sure why she hasnt responded, like she doesnt know it was me, or she hasnt gotten around to it, or something like that. well, do you think i should send her another text or something, cause i dont want to sound too desperate.

i forgot to mention that i have known her since i was in first grade, so its not like its out of the blue

Give this person the benefit of the doubt-it is possible she was not aware the email came from you or has not read or have time to respond. You have already answered your own question. Write her once more, take the effort to explain who you are and ask if she would like to correspond. If she responds you have your answer. If she does not respond, let it go. You gain respect for yourself either way AND no you would not sound desperate. Good luck.

Well keep in mind some people dont even receive text messages or subscribe to them. If you really want to talk to her call her for gosh sakes. Whenever I receive a text from a guy about something casual it really irritates me that they are too scared to just punch in the numbers and call me. I mean, it takes just as much effort to type those damn texts, right? lol.....Just call her and say whats up. Simple and easy.

Well..some people dont have texting on their phone, so she could have not even got it. Just call her. Dont be like " why didnt u answer my txt" or anything, but just be like " hey this is (ur name). How are you?" Just start to talk to her and be yourself. Ask her wut her hobbies are and stuff like that. If the convrsation gets wierd then just say " I gotta go now, but I will talk to ya later." ok talking to a girl is easy counting that i am one ok well you shoulnt be afraid because tere just like you but more hotter and you can trust me we are just as afraid to talk to guys we stress out . so you just walk up to her and say hi and ask her her name if you already know then say hi and ask her to come talk to you sometime
