my dog has recently been able to walk down the stairs and i applaud him for that. but now he also taught himself how to climb on the kitchen table. he would eat whatever is there but fruit. but anyways, when i came home, he ate some soy stuff my mom was going to cook for my sister because she's vegan. the question is..how do i make my dog now go on the table without limiting his options? like leave the chairs there that he uses to get up on it, but i want him to know it's a bad thing that he does it.

my dog use to do that too but dont worry he'll stop sooner or later (words of experience)

If you catch him doing that in the act, then tell him 'no' in a sturn tone of voice. Then find him a treat and put it near his own food and water bowls. Then when he goes for the treat pat him on the head and say...'there, that's a good boy'. Before a few weeks go by, he will realize that his better option is with the treat. It sounds like spoiling, but it's positive reinforcement. You've just spoken to him in a stern voice, then when you give him the treat, you've giving him a little praise in a good tone. He'll get to know the difference soon.

It sounds like he goes up there to eat. If you get rid of the food left on the table then maybe he won't climb on it. Also is the table by a window? Because my little dog used to climb on the table to watch out the window. I had to move the table.

He needs Dog rules, or it will be very
confusing for him.
No eating at, or from the table. Only his food
dish, or when food is toss to him outside.
So keep the chairs pushed under the table.
If he tries to get up on the table, say " NO "
firmly. Don't get into a big speech why he can't.
Just " NO ", you are the Leader.

You have to catch him doing it before you can dicipline him. A squirt gun, a can of rocks, anything to get his attention, then loudly say NO!

they walk bare foot on the dirty ground and lick there butts why do you want your dog on the table? I don'nt get it.
