it took my stretch marks about a year to go clear. the creams DON"T WORK so don't waste your money. just focus on losing the weight and that will help..but the reddness fades within a year or so.
don't worry! you are a mommy!! congratulations!! and it happens to the best of us. they do get better...just be patient and focus on your health and your baby's health.

Forget showing off your stomach from now on (unless you want to show off your stretch marks too). Eventually the red will fade to skin color (almost a silver color in certain light) but you are stuck with them forever. No creams or lotions will make them go away and if you have another kid you will probably end up with more. The only advice I can give you is that they will fade and you need to come to terms with them. They are a small price to pay to bring a baby into this world.

Here are two situations
1. my sister in law, her first baby she got stretch marks up and down her entire stomach and her hips and legs and all that. They were the big purple ones that look like scars. They never went away. They are still there 10 years later. But she has also had other children since then. But they are still there, not so dark but there.
2. With my first baby I didn't get them across my entire stomach, just my hips and they faded and turned white and still look like white scars. I just had my second baby and the new ones aren't so stretched out and aren't so dark. The baby is almost four months. But they are still there. Alot of them have faded into skin color. But the weird scarry (scar) looking marks will be there forever.
I used that palmers coco butter with both kids. May not have prevented them all but alot of them it did.

Anyone that told you they go away is a big fat liar. They fade- they do NOT go away. You can have them cut out with a tummy tuck if you have enough extra skin.. but then you end up with a giant scar from hip to hip.
I've tried everything from vitamin e to a cream made from the slime of chilean sea snails at $40 an ounce. The only thing that has made an improvement at all is a microdermabrasion cloth- helped fade and reduce the ridges.

Stretchmarks will never go away but they do fade. and there are creams to help reduce the appearance. but if they cover your whole stomach, theres not much chance of them going away so much that you will be out in a bikini looking hot for a good while yet.If ever.
Welcome to being a mum !

Im assuming you gave birth to a healthy baby and for that you should be ever so proud. I mean a living, growing child inside you. Yes in time the strech marks will fade, but to think that this is your main concern? No-your concern she be for that baby and how proud you should be. For there are many woman who cant have children at all.

They WON'T go away, but they WILL fade in about 6months to a year. You can get stuff that helps with the redness...I used Esoterica fade cream and it worked well. You can get it at any drugstore. Good luck!

well, it has only been 2 weeks! it takes a good year for your body to recover after birth but don't kid yourself your body in many ways is forever changed. the stretch marks will get lighter and less noticeable but they will never go away completely.
