I wonder why the weak minded insist that God needs to be defended. If God is the all powerful being they insist He is, can't He handle when people speak against His name? Why is it these folks insist that any means are justifiable to "defend" the honor of God?

I am not saying that anyone shouldn't stand up for their particular belief system, rather that God. Can't God take care of His own problems without human help?

God can certainly defend His name, but we as Christians, are to be representatives of Him on Earth.
We don't always do the greatest job, but that is our purpose....to speak the Good news of Christ and represent Him.

Dear Thunderman, I dont know who these "weak Minded" people are, who declare God needs our defending, they are incorrect and obviously have never picked up a Bible. When we speak against Gods name, commonly Known as Blasphemy, it doesnt "hurt Gods feelings:" or make HIm cry, it Angers Him. The BIble says "the Lord will Not Hold them Guiltess who use His name in vain." the BIble says God will give all blasphemers a place in the lake of fire where his wrath is poured out upon them for eternity. Now, nevertheless, God does give these people and all people a chance to turn to Him because it is not His will any should perish, But, If they persist to rebell against HIm, they will reap His wrath. Now, you will Have to be a Little More specific, because I dont know exactl;y what you mean when you say "means". The Only means to defend the faith are layed out in the Bible. if that gives you a definitive answer, any means outside of Gods Word is Not Justifiable. Yes, God can take care of Himself without our Help, The Bible says all who have broken His Law by lying, stealing, looking with lust, using Gods name in vain and coveting wil face Him on the day of Judgement and if they are found Guilty God's Justice will grind them to Powder. They will enherit eternity in hell. The Good news is that Christ died for our sins, we broke the Law and Jesus paid our fine. We need God, we are in an age of grace and what we must do is repent (turn from sin) and place our faith and trust in Jesus, the Moment we do, God will forgive us and grant us the gift of everlasting life.
God Bless

I would hope that you would stand up for your younger sister or brother. Would you stand up for your mother or father? We defend GOD because of our strong feelings for HIM. He has given sol much for each of us that we should do so. I also believe that a number of Christians are holing that the Non-christian readers will change their mind by something that they may read here. It is my opinion that what we do here may be important to someone. If it is, this is worth the work involved. Have a great week!

Oh He will, in due time my friend, all in due time. Besides if He were to do it right now, We'd all likely be done for. Thankfully He gives us a chance to repent.

God is very patient. That's why a lightning bolt hasn't split your head open--yet.

I've been told that God has feelings and those feelings can be hurt by harsh words. I just love this image of the Almighty as blubbering nervous teenage girl who someone has whispered "fat!" about behind her back.

These people are quite aware that their god has no voice and no strength, because it does not exist.

Without them to fight to maintain their beliefs, they will vanish, and so will their god(s).
