i really love my youngest brother.(isn't he such a cutie - see my pic). i love him in a sense of a motherly love thing . our age gap is about 19 yrs .. he is now 6 yrs +. he is much closer to me then even my own mother. sometimes we can even pass off as mother and son.. is there anything wrong to love yr own brother as a son?
or is it just a sign that i actually want kids.. haha

NO! You are a wonderfully caring sister to have such sweet feelings toward your brother. I hope that he appreciates you as he gets older.

No, it is not bad right now. But he does need to be taught the difference between Mom and sister. I think you probably had to do a lot as for as helping since he was a baby, and yes, that can make a person get very attached to a child. It is a sign that your really a good sister, and really good with children as you have helped raise this one.. Just remember, unlike a real child of your own, you can leave this one with mom and go on with your life, it is your brother, you are not the mama. when you have one of your own, then, you will have to raise him for a very long time and should not give it to your mom to raise. Your a good sister, all little ones should be so lucky.

Sounds like you are just wanting to have a child of your own. But at your age i think you should wait till you are more mature, and your brother has grown up a bit. Sounds like he would be jealous of any of your children since you have shown him such motherly affection. You have confused him by doting on him so much, I think you need to start dating and get alife of your own, so you can both figure out that you are siblings not mom and son

Maybe you were together in a past life :-) They often say the people we have in our lives close with us now are those we have bonded with in another place :)

The age gap is bound to bring out the maternal instinct in you... I often think of my pets as my children. Is that corny? Probably! Nothing wrong with some love and sweetness in the world!

There isn't anything wrong with loving your brother as your son. You are old enough to be his mom, it is quite natural. I have children who have a brother in his mid 24 and he is 6yrs. His brother watches over my son like he is his own father. I think that is so cute.

It tells me you have a very strong mothering instinct. That is good if you intend on having a family.
Sometimes you are drawn to a specific member of the family , especially the young and sweet ones, You are the protector and you take it seriously. It is good that he knows he is loved, it will help him to become a very strong individual...
There isnothing wrong with how you feel. You two obviously have a connection that is strong....

there is nothing wrong. it's only natural because of the age gap that you feel so protective of him, as mother would for her own child. he is lucky to have such a nice sister. he is lucky to have someone to look up to...such as yourself.

With the age difference I'd say it's quite natural. He's lucky to have two people who love him so much. And yes he's a cutie.

I think that you are both lucky to have each other. You should embrace your relationship! You most likely do want children as well. You are obviously very maternal, since you have taken to him so well. He will probably love being an Uncle to your kids!
