Alcohol is worse. It's more expensive, gives you hangovers, makes you do things you would never normally do, and it's addictive.
Weed has never killed anyone.... I don't know where that guy got THAT info from.... there is a huge difference between weed and hard drugs!

I think there is a much higher percentage of drunks causing accidents, beating up people, abusing women and children, breaking things (including their own bodies) and destroying their livers.
I disagree 100% when they call pot a 'gateway drug'. Sure, people who do 'hard' drugs usually previously smoked pot--- but they also drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes. People who do hard drugs do EVERYTHING! But lots of people smoke pot for years and years without serious side effects (maybe laziness, obesity from the munchies, and a cough if they do it too much)
People who get drunk immediately poison their livers--- and after too many times they do permanent damage--- plus all the other things they do. Even if it is just acting like an idiot or throwing up--- Most pot smokers who smoke too much just quietly go off and go to sleep--- or eat everything in the house.
My friend is a cop and he says weed would be what they wish everyone would do, if they're going to get high. They never get called out to make arrests for 'stoned and disorderly' or domestic violence when pot is involved--- but get many calls a night for alcohol related violence.
PS I don't do drugs or alcohol--- so no personal agenda here!

True. Drunk people stumble to their car, drive it stupidly, and end up crashing into something. Stoned people don't even want to get off the couch. So, from that respect, weed is better.

Alcohol is a major killer on our roads..
About one-half of all traffic deaths are alcohol related. Learning about alcohol's effects on the mind and body could prevent you from making a fatal error -- drinking and driving!
Effects of alcohol:
Poor judgment:
Alcohol acts like an anesthetic, dulling areas of the brain that enable people to make sensible decisions.
Slowed reaction time:
Drinking slows reflexes and hinders coordination. Drivers who can't react quickly are a hazard to themselves and others.
Loss of concentration:
Drinking may cause drowsiness. When alertness decreases, the chances of having an accident increase.
Visual problems:
Alcohol can cause double or multiple vision and blurring. It also reduces peripheral vision, making it difficult to see vehicles approaching from the right.
Risks of Alcohol:
People fail to recognize alcohol's handicapping effects. Some drinkers mistakenly think that alcohol improves their driving ability.
People foolishly believe that coffee, a cold shower, exercise or fresh air can sober them up. Time is the only way to sober up.Some people lack experience as drivers. The result may be unpredictable driving behavior when they are drunk, possibly leading to tragedy.
People don't realize that beer and wine are just as potent as hard liquor. 12 ozs. of beer, 5 ozs. of wine and 1.5 ozs. of 80-proof liquor all contain the same amount of alcohol.
Nationwide, about 25,000 lives could be saved each year if people didn't drink and drive.
Drugs:
consequences :
Diseases: brain damage, cancer, and many more.
Death: whether you die from a coma or cancer, there are many ways drugs can result in death.
Loss: You can lose your friends, money, family, self-respect, reputation, grades, your freedom by being put in jail, and as mentioned before, even your own life.

I think its weed. Weed takes away a certain percentage of reflex's, and reaction time more so than alcohol when driving. Do you know you can take a piece of you hair, and it can be analyzed for weed, as far back as 10 years. That's how long it stays in your system. Yes weed probably does not cause immediate death like alcohol from driving. But the long term affects, now that's what really gets you. Anything that stays in your body that long, is slowly eating away at your cells, your liver and heart, and the more you use it, the more you need, to get that "high".
