I constantly hear you talking about some sort of "Spiritual Warfare." Do you not find it odd that you must constantly fight yourself?

I mean, yes, I have disagreed with my thoughts before, but I reconciled it quickly, and made a decision [Like today, I had to choose between chocolate or vanilla. Vanilla won out, btw.]. does it cause you any mental anguish to be constantly fighting something?

I mean, I do not feel like I'm fighting anything, and I am religious [Just not Abrahamic], but you are always fighting, yet profess peace.

Thanks.

I never give non Christians a thumbs down unless they are rude! I wish Christians would quit doing that!!!
Spiritual warfare is not necessarily in our heads. Like good on one shoulder bad on the other. Our minds and our own flesh wants what it wants and it may not be Satan or his crew tempting us but our own flesh.
We have peace knowing our eternal home is in heaven. But even Paul was in torment with his sin. He said his flesh caused him to do things his mind/spirit didn't want him to do. He said he was a sinful retch so to speak. So I don't think we are ever at peace as far as sin is concerned...dang this flesh, without it was are jelly.

where did you get the notion that we are fighting ourselves? Spiritual warfare is not a fight ageist flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. There is no against myself. I will tell you honestly, you may never have to worry about it, but there is very real presence of evil beings and heavenly beings, when you are a child of God living for Christ, you will see spiritual warfare. Some churches may try to hype it up that the devil is always after them, but it is just their own disobedience to God's word. The struggle is real. If you really do care about these things, go to bible web sites like biblegateway.com or blueletterbible.org and find out instead of asking on an open forum that'll be biased. Christians learn from the bible, if you want to know, go to the source first, then ask for help. Good luck, and may the Lords blessings and conviction overtake you.

Spiritual warfare means fighting demonic "forces", if you will. It doesn't mean fighting yourself or someone else; it's the realization and acceptance that there are demons that will try all sorts of ways to detract people from God, and some Christians feel compelled to fight that. I hope that was an okay explanation. I am not a spiritual-warfare-fighter-type person, so I know very little about it. I am a Christian who believes there are some nasty demons in this world, though.

Peace is not the lovely dovely feeling.

War is also not bloody, filled with hatred.

Spirtual warfare is not un peaceful, but to maintain peace.

Removed the military from your nation, I would like to see if it will bring peace (I do not mean those African nations having civil war).

Military in USA UK and many others are there to ensure peace. Do you want to remove them?

We may disagree on issues but all Christians are unified in the belief in Christ as our savior. On that we are in complete agreement. People will always have differing philosophies, people are wired differetnly. But Christians are unified in the belief the Christ saves us from sin and through him we find eternal life. What else you got?

Fighting is the opposite of loving. I cannot grasp how one can fight and claim it to be in the name of God or religions for that matter!

We are not FIGHTING, perse, lol although there sure is a lot of self defense moves happening on this site! It's mostly defending our Lord that we do. I can't stand it when He is mocked!
