I hear that too, religious people always try to put up the point that it takes FAITH to believe the theory of evolution

people need to be in tune with the present more, recent advancements have proven evolution to be fact, and it doesn't take faith to believe what is in front of you, it takes logic

evolution is not an attempt to disprove religion, it just happens to but that's not what it was directed for, all of science is a result of human curiosity and intelligence, it has nothing to do with religion, people need to stop degrading the progress made in science just because it cofnlicts with their religious views

Well yes. What is religion? It's a belief, right? It's a belief that is associated with the divine or supernatural but it's also a belief system, associated with ones thoughts and standards to live by, like a lifestyle. Atheism and Evolutionists live by a lifestyle which excludes God, having a foundation built upon theories and science based beliefs while the lifestyles of those of a belief in a supreme being have a foundation of faith and bible based beliefs. I believe that whatever you live your life by is your religion.

If the person who believes in evolution doesn't understand how it works, then it's a religion for them.

Evolution is not a religion by any means, its a study of the way of life and how it adapts, reacts, and changes in an environment where survival is everything

No. "Evolutionist" is a term just as ridiculous as "gravityist" or "thermodynamicsist"... but then again SOME people see the acceptance of reality (acknowledging evolution as fact and theory) as "a belief". It's like... saying... I BELIEVE that the earth will orbit the sun tomorrow or I BELIEVE that the chemical composition of water is H2O.
