And could it be linked to genes that control communication? I am trying to understand why so many Creationists are illiterate. These 3 questions were asked in the last few hours alone:

Did you know charlse darwin was not an athiest.?

If God has no begining...how come in John 1:1 is says the in the begining the word was?

Why atheists like acting weird?

There is a gene that affects a person's level of spiritualism. Basically, people with this gene are more likely to have lowered blood flow to the frontal lobes of the brain, which help you determine the difference between reality and imagination. With lowered blood flow, this line blurs, making a person more likely to be spiritual.

Maybe brain chemistry, try googling ‘neurotheology’.

I think you could be right. I suspect that the ability to communicate with, and manipulate, symbolic language brought some other characteristics or conditions along with it.

Nothing is more frightening to people than the unknown, the unexplained, and the unpredictable. And, the human brain is driven to find patterns (first language and then social rules) and to impose order on the world it encounters.

It is not unreasonable that there would be a bio-chemical ‘solution’ to keep everyone form going insane with worry, particularly in a world with no scientific knowledge like the one we evolved in.

Hey, Ray --

What you heard about Darwin is wrong - outrageously so, in fact.
At the time he published 'Origin of Species', everyone knew that evolution was real (because, even then, the evidence was so obvious and overwhelming). Darwin provided the mechanism that made evolution make sense.

Genetics may affect your tongues physical ability to move, or your brains aility to think logically, or your "mind to mouth connection", but not how yourelate to spiritual things. Spirit is Spirit, soul is soul, body is body. Connect they are, but different as well.

I heard Charles Darwin just had a theory on the "made from dust" aspect of creation. People just blew it up into "evolution".

"The Word", is Christ, as in "The Living Word". It says that probably because he was not created at that time (as God was not created) but he was present for creation. Also, the Word had to be there as God SAID let there be...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is either fear, rebellion, or simple foolishness. Atheists generally don't want to believe they are headed for a condemned eternity for their actions, so they say "there is no God". They don't like God's rules, as A) the Holy Spirit doesn't reside in them, B) it is part of human nature to want to rule your own life, and C) they find the rules tiring/unfair/boring, etc. Some just miss all the evidence that God exists (Biblical prophecies, historical evidence of Biblical events/people, the fact that miracles happen...).

does that answer your question(s)?

No way, genes only affect the body in my opinion, nothing to do with
personality, religion or anything else.

This idea is an idea put out by atheists and communist type people.

They are illiterate because they have been brought up to believe in magical things like creationism. They will basically believe anything after that. And as with everything else, they dont question what they already know at all. Now thats no way to learn.
