Kidding. The belly button is just the scar where the umbilical cord was, it doesn't have any real use after you're born. I suppose if you poked yourself really hard with something sharp (like a sword) in the belly button, you could die. However, just poking it with a finger wouldn't do anything much, although you might end up with a scratch or a sore spot where you poked yourself.

Depends what you POKE it with :) A knife is a definate no no hmmm so is a chain saw or a school bus....a finger could also do damage if you poke it really hard...
