that sounds inappropriate... tell him to wait for 2 years. then try again. age difference doesn't matter as long as both parties are of a mature enough age. something 16 isn't

no its not ok for several reasons one but not the only one is the age gap, there is just to much a difference in maturity lvls, at 23 a guy is so much more mature than a 16 year old girl, just in the way he thinks abou things and is able to handle certain situiations better, a 23 year old would control to many aspects of who you are to let you grow into being your own individual.
Plus if the wrong person was to know about it ( most likely a relative) he could be charged and would defiantly go to jail for along time ...

No. That much age difference is alot when you are still young. This person can really take advantage of you in so many ways. You should really find someone closer to your age, so that you will have more things in common. I know that it seems cool that someone that much older would like you, but there really is something wrong with them. There is a very good chance that it is illegal also. In Georgia he can be put in jail. Try to concentrate on school and friends. All of the other stuff will come soon enough.

No because then when they brake up with you and you freak out they tell you to grow up and they get to say that because they are older. And he can go to the bar and met girl there. You are putting yourself in a really bad place to get hurt. And he will want to have sex with you right away. I'm 24 and I see it everywhere and when I was 16 I dated a guy that was 22.

No 23 year old man should be dating a 16 year old girl. He's a grown man and should know better than to mess with a child. Where are your parents? Date people your own age, he's a disgusting person.

No, it's not okay for a minor to date an adult. However, since you aren't dating and don't really even know this guy there's no issue at this point. You have a crush on him and that's fine...just realize that it's illegal for him to do anything about it (were he to decide he liked you back).
Stick with guys under 18 until you hit 18...anything else is just asking for trouble.

ummmm......I'm lost. Write more clearly!
How did he kiss ur cheek if u haven't met yet?
and no, 16 vs. 23 is not okay. He is way 2 old for you.....
He is legally an adult and you aren't, and no matter how mature you are, it's still too much.
And when you do legally and completely come an adult, he will be 28. When you are 25 he will be 32......

actually it depends on the person he is, my boyfriend is 5 years older than me, but I lied to him about my age at first, and we've been together 3 years, and he wasn't one of those jerks that just want to get in your pants, but I've had many relationships, and I can tell unlike most teenagers. Just be friends with the guy, try to know him well, if it's one of your first real boyfriends, don't try, you might get hurt badly.

Huh? Come again? You haven't met him yet and he's kissed your cheek? You don't know him but he always asks where you're going?
You aren't making any sense.
7 years is a HUGE age difference when you're 16.
When you're older, try again.

i think you should actually meet the guy before you decide if you are going to date him. as him out, or invite him an some friends over so u can get comfortable around him. i think its ok to date someone older, as long as you are both happy
