How would you explain this?

A man was going to the grocery store to get food for himself. As he was at the store he had this urge to get some extra milk and bread. He decided what the heck and he got some extra. As he's driving home he feels the urge to turn down this backstreet. Again he goes down the backstreet. He continues to get these urges untill he ends up at a house. As he gets to the house he has the urge to go up and knock and give them the bread and milk. As he knocks, a middle-aged woman peeks her head out, and says,"yes". He explains his story and gives her the bread and milk. Then she opens the door and sees 4 hungry kids standing behind her. The lady bursts into tears and says, "I've been having trouble with money, so all last night I prayed to God that someone would help me, and then you showed up today."

Don't you love heart-warming stories like this.

Atheists how could events like this happen without a God?

For those of you who say I made up this story I love you. I knew there would be those kind of people. For those of you out there I can honestly say this is 100% true. Sometimes you just got to believe.

I have heard of group consciousness, psychic sensitivity and mental powers that could account for such a thing. I call it personal power and it is an amazing thing.

Peace!

Well, there is the possibility of charity without God. And the reason we can still freely disbelieve in God is because for every story like this, there are thousands who end up starving to death. How could mass famine like that happen with a loving God?

Well, for one thing there's no way to know this really happened. I can make up sweet stories, too.

Even so, assuming it is true, I suppose a person could say that the man was psychic. Or he heard someone else talking about the woman, and while he didn't "register" it, he acted upon it. Or something, I don't know.

This must be a true story as so many things in life happen without us knowing why they happen. What makes us do something that we normally wouldn't do, only to find that there was a need for it.

Thanks so much for sharing this story. It is so heart warming and provides a sense of purpose.

I am not an atheists and yes i do believe in these little miracles
but they can be explained in other ways
and i am sure that some atheists here may have had experiences that may appear to be divine to those who believe in God
but are thought of in another way by those who dont
all the same ... it is a lovely heart warming story

Simple. They DON'T happen! That is the biggest load of made-up garbage I've ever read. It's the kind of garbage my mother feels the need to email me.

Who was this man with all the urges? What's his name? Where does he live? Can we verify his story by asking the mother and her hungry kids? What's her name? What are her kids names?Does this nameless person have a receipt to verify that he indeed bought extra milk and bread? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Use your brain for crying out loud, you simp!

A "middle aged woman," with "4 hungry kids?" Didn't you mean to say a "young woman," with "4 hungry kids?"

I'm not an athiest, but I know a lying Christian when I spot one.

Regards,

Chris

I have been told I am an angel (but quite human) simply because I used my eyes and learned to feel compassion for others and just listen to my own voice

is it a coincidence that I help people in need, or just rise to the occasion and choose to see others in 'hell' but here on earth, all around

why go to foreign lands to witness and minister when we have plenty here that need help...
