When my mom passed away last year, we (6 kids) divided up the duties. We received many beautiful flower arrangements, so we took the responsibilities of sending thank yous to the donors we individually knew.

Then, we divided the duties amongst us for the other "donations" which included Mass cards and donations to the Hospice that cared for mom.

We also sent thank yous to the priests who had the Mass and to the nice folks at the Hospice.

In the cards we said something like "Thank you so much for the lovely flowers you sent to funeral home. Mom really loved roses and she would have been touched. Thank you for coming to callling hours and supporting us at this difficult time."

How is that? Is this what you were thinking about?
