I shave my legs, but my parents don't know that. My mom says that if i shave the hairs grow back and they look darker so i always have to shave. She doesn't have any hair on her legs at all (lucky!) so she wouldn't know how bad it looks to have hairy legs! So ive been looking and i found out that waxing lasts longer and it can make the hairs not grow back at all! But the thing is she won't let me do it.
How can i convince her to?

Your mom has got to understand that you're going to have to shave at some point. A lot of salons wont Wax you unless you have parental consent. Keep in mind that Waxing lasts longer, but you have to grow the hair out on your legs for 2 weeks and that it's a lot more painful than regular shaving. You're just going to have to talk to your mom and let her know how bad having hair on your legs look and let her know what you want to do, if she doesn't respect your wishes you're going to have to respect hers.

Shaving makes hair grow darker and thicker(though it depends on the shaving thing you use), while waxing makes the hair loose its darkness and will continue growing, but with a slow process maybe next month. If you're a beginner then it is painful, but you might get accustomed to it and not feel it at all. I will say, ask your mom why she won't let you and blurt out all your worries and yadayada... Plus even if you do it without her knowing she'll notice it sooner or later, bare legs are noticeable.

ha, is all i have to say to having it grow back darker. I have platinum blonde hair, and on my legs to, and every time they grow back, they don't come back black. they come back the same you-can-barely-see blonde. Although, waxing is very painful, and the only way you can get it to be gone for forever, is lazer hair removal, or if you wax for 2 years strait. You will always have to shave though, and you know what, I do it right after I get my shampoo out in the shower, and without even putting very much shaving creme on I just quickly get it. The beauty of this is I do it every time I shower, and it takes no time. I don't need to take so much as 5 minuetes to do it. I don't even have to think about it now. It's like washing your hands after going to the bathroom, after you go do you say " oh oops i almost forgot to wash my hands", No of course not. It is a habit, make this a habit, and you will be set for life.

It's up to you though. convince your mom if all else fails.

If you are already shaving and she doesn't know, then don't tell her you are waxing. There are a ton of kits you can buy at the store that are easy to use, just hide the evidence. She is wrong about the hairs growing back darker...it's a myth

My mom mentioned i ought to wax while i replaced into like 12 yet rather I used this digital razor that pulled the hair even nevertheless it did no longer harm and it replaced into plenty extra perfect than waxing. Oh, and the reason she enable me wax at such an youthful age is because of the fact she does not care what I do as long as i do no longer gown like a hooker or a bum.^^

well this depends onhow old u are i would say if u are over 14 its your body you should be able to do what u like. i mean its not like a tatoo it won't be permanant just go to like walgreens and pick up some wax strips shut yourlself in the bathroom and make sure you read the instructuins. if you are under 14 i would say you are a bit young to be waxing. it is quite painful by the way, and i think your mother just doesnt want you to get hurt from the wax.

Ok. well, i would start by explaining to her that you do shave your legs, and that you would like to. the best time is when she is in a good mood, and not busy. just kind of ease into the subject and then once you start talking about it, tell her about waxing. then ask if you can do.

it might help.

why doesn't she want you to do it? waxing hurts quite a bit, but the results are worth it. i wax my underarms and bikini line in the summer, and it is so nice to not have to shave. tell your mom that it will save you time.

You should try Nair or Veet less painful than waxing, however can be a bit smelly until you wash it off with soap bodywash or whatever.
