i have light skin, the dark circles are very noticeable. how do i get rid of them?! or like something good to cover them up without looking too cakey

most times this isn't caused by the old "get a lot of sleep and eat well". this can be a genetic cause, also scientists theorize that this can be because the layer of skin is VERY thin around the eyes which makes them susceptible to veins and such which makes them darker.

good cosmetic offices sell medical grade products containing hyaluronic acids, vit K and antioxidants that helps the skin reabsorb those breakdown proteins under the skin, usually sold in serum form. Usually takes about 10 weeks to really notice. Also there are other procedures that lighten skin as well if your truly bothered. More sleep and water helps too. Nothing is 100% for all though.

Hi, here some home remedies for reduce dark circles under eye
•Mix one teaspoon flour, one teaspoon milk, a pinch of sugar, 1/4 spoon honey and squeeze half lemon juice. Apply it on face and once it is dry, rub the face with wet hands, till the pack in removed.
•Grate cucumber / potato and squeeze fresh juice out of gratings. Dip two cotton balls in it and keep these cotton balls on eyes. This relaxes eyes and relieves tiredness of eyes.
(Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase, which is used in cosmetics as a human skin lightener.)

Or, the best comes from www.cinemasecrets.com and the owner was the President of the TV/FILM Make-Up Union - he did Estelle Getty in Golden Girls (made an old bat out of a young woman). His products are the best.

Ok this is gonna sound crazy but it works. Preparation H. Its a hemmoroid creme that shrinks them. It shrinks bags under eyes as well and helps reduce the dark colour under the eye. Models and celebs use this all the time. I know its creepy to rub stuff on your face that is meant for your butt but hey..whatever works!

Do you have any allergies? I ask because allergies and "raccoon eyes" tend to go hand in hand.
I know your asking about a day-to-day coverup, but you might get better results overall by dealing with the cause of the problem.

I use a shade lighter of foundation coverup only on the dark area
