It would be really easy to say "No, you're too young" or something like that, but that's not necessarily true. When I was 12 I knew a lot of girls who had boyfriends, and I know that sometimes there's a lot pressure to have a boyfriend, and that a lot of times, older guys seem more appealing because they seem more mature - seem being the operative word.
You don't need to have a boyfriend and you shouldn't worry about getting one that's older than you. Just be careful who you choose to spend your time with and make sure you're never put in a situation where you feel uncomfortable or pressured to do anything. Sometimes being friends with a guy for a long time when you're 12, 13, etc. can lead to a good relationship when you're 17 or 18. Don't be in a rush, the right one will come along and appreciate you for you.

Where and how would you go out?
12 years old is not too young to like boys, but to date them is not going to work. Are you thinking you should date someone in order to choose a life partner? Get out of town!

When I was 12 I wasn't even thinking about having a boyfriend. It was too young for me to have a boyfriend. It all depends on if the person is responsible enough to have one. Well all I know is I am single and loving it.

Yes, you are too young to be getting involved with that type of thing. You should be focusing on school, extra curricular activities, and building platonic friendships. You have so many years to enjoy your freedom and not worry or be sidetracked by some boy. Trust me, I am almost 27 and I wish that I would have worried less about them, and more about me everyday.

i think your too young to be in a relationship type thing. but since your young you can have haeps of young little boyfriends to kiss and hold hands and hang out together with. im sure 13, 14 year old boys will like you (since you seem to want to hang out with older guys)

i am a boy 11 and i think 12 is to young all my friends in my grade(2) have one i think they are wrong

yes you are way to young to be even thinking about dating and any teen boy that does go out with needs his butt kicked you are a kid wait until you are older

no have fun while your still young! guy friends are great boy, older boys wont go out with you, your not at their maturety level yet, dont worry, thats not a dis! it wont take ling to get up there! teen boys are sooooo lame trust me, my best friend is one LOL

Yes you are too young to have a b/f. You should be watching Batman reruns instead. There's plenty of time when you go into your 20's. Guys will appreciate you for it. I respect girls who waited.

i think it depends on what you want to do with your bf. if you just want someone to call your bf and hang out and go to movies, stuff like that. then that's cool. but if you want a more physical relationship that includes more then just kissing then i would say wait. you'll be happier down the road knowing that you waited until you were mature enough physically and emotionally for having sex.
