i won my science fair by making 2 floating cd's using magnets: find 8 strong magnets (local radio shack) get some crazy glue & 2 blank cd's, next glue 4 magnets to the bottom of 1 cd, and 4 to the bottom of the other 1. then find a 2 dowell rods (wooden sticks) drill 2 holes across from each other in each cd and find a block of wood and drill 2 holes across from each other in the block of wood (evenly with the cd's) stck the dowell rods into the wooden block and glue them in place, then slide 1 cd over the dowell rods thru the holes you drilled in the cd, glue the cd onto the block of wood with the magnets facing upward, last slide the second cd thru the dowell rods with the magnets facing downward and watch as the cds magically float

An experiment to see how much ants rely on eye-sight to find food, by measuring how much of a set amount of food they find in a given time under different, precisely measured, levels of light. You can use a light source with a dimmer control and a photographers light-meter to set the light level.

You can then show the results as a graph of food gathered against light levels and see what the shape is. Is it an unusual unexpected shape? Is it a smooth curve declining as light levels decrease or does their ability to find food fall to zero at a given light level?

You would have to repeat the measurement several times at each light level to see whether it varies widely each time and makes a nonsense of your results and your graph. This can be stated numerically as variance or standard-deviation, with min-max or error-bars on the graph. Ask your math/science teacher.

You might also note any changes in behaviour and search-patterns.

If ants don't use eye-sight at all, just wandering about plus chemical trails, use some other creature instead, such as cockroaches, beetles, mice or goldfish.

well one time i did a project on the relationship with sleeping and basket ball. My school was very into basketball so i thought that it would catch alot of attention.

1.go to sleep at 8 pm and shoot 10 free-throws,5 left handed layups and 5 right handed layups.
2.the next day go to sleep at 9 and do the same thing

you can keep doing this until you think its necessary just make sure that you keep track of how much hours of sleep you get each day and how much shots you made

its also good to maybe have someone on the team participate. I was on the basket ball team so it was easier for me but anyone can do it
Good luck :]

Making electricity out of acid fruits. For instance, using two lemons, connect some wires to it as the source of energy and at the other side a little light bulb. Like little as xmas tree lights. Did it once, you might look for some research on that since probably my explanation will leave you like OK..!! :P
