A lot of people have tried to explain it to me, but I really don't understand. What exactly is terminal brain cancer?

I'm sorry to hear that someone you know might have terminal brain cancer. Whenever the word "terminal" is used to describe a medical condition of any kind, it means the individual is going to pass away no matter what type of treatment is given. Brain cancer, of course, is usually some type of tumor that has invaded the brain muscle. Sometimes it can be operated on and removed, and sometimes it can't. I hope this information helps, and I hope you're ok. Hang in there, ok? Sometimes miracles do happen.

Well, that's not a medical term, but usually when people say that any cancer is terminal they mean that it is malignant, which means it will spread, and it cannot be removed surgically or treated effectively with chemo or radiotherapy, so it's just a matter of time before it causes the death of the person who has it. Usually when we talk about cancer as terminal though, we mean that the person doesn't have too much time left. But there isn't an exact definition of that term.

When a condition is terminal, it means that the disease is going to lead to death, and that there's nothing the doctors can do to prevent death from happening due to the disease. So basically this describes a person with brain cancer who is going to die.

It means that you may pass from this earth, because every single human being is going to pass from this earth and that includes every person who commented on this post. However, it only reflects a terminal earthly life passing, it does not refer to nor can it define what happens to us after our bodies no longer function. We are all terminal and if you believe, we are all eternal.

Terminal means that YOU WILL DIE. I apologize for being insensitive. Terminal=Terminate. See a pattern forming?

It means you are going to die. There is no way of stopping it or terminating it, therefore it's terminal cancer.

Terrible thing, hope it's not you.
