mmm circular logic...

What if you think of God as the ship's computer on the Star Trek Enterprise. It can not sin, yet it can do anything, right? Even further - it can do anything that humans can conceive...

Peace!

This question makes no sense. God is omnipotent. This has nothing to do with sin. The definition of omnipotent is:

Having unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-powerful.

Who said that God could sin? The quick definition of sin is "rebellion against God". So the question would be Can God rebel against Himself. But since it is not part of His nature, he cannot "sin" (lie) any more than a man can have a baby (naturally) because it is not part of his nature. So naturally God cannot "rebel" against Himself because rebellion is not part of His nature.

You need not be too worried about omnipotence. You should concentrate on the first two words of you question-"if God". Because- if there really is a God, His power will not be your problem.

God can do ANYTHING which is consistent with His Nature and Attributes.

One of His "Nature and Attributes" is that of omnipotentcy.

However another of his "Nature and Attributes" is that He is incapable of sinning. Therefore He can NOT sin. That is one of the things He can not do because it is not consistent with His Nature.

I love your questions, and answer is often in asking it or inside the question itself to reveal it to those who are ready

all powerful...but can't remove a devil...

both from man anyways, we as an collective whole are all powerful and all present, all knowing

but each of us has one piece of the truth, and we need to share and talk with others to exchange it and get insights for living and loving
