If you were the one to find your wallet, put an extra five int plate at church and give thanks that you found it. If someone else found the wallet and only returned for the reward, then you have the oppurtunity to enlighten someone and maybe make a friend along the way.

You should honor your reward. Maybe you can talk to the person and work somthing out like 50 dollars now and another 50 in a month.
IF you can do that offer them something else. $50 gift card to somewhere. Something is better then nothing.
