The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc.

i have kinky poofy hair and i use a ceramic straightener with no product whatsoever on my hair. i have a thick hair diameter, so i can use a high temp on my flat iron, but thinner hair needs a lower temp. if your hair is like mine try easy straight 3 month straightener (find in the drug store or beauty supply) and it helped take alot of the frizz and erratic curl out but i still need a flat iron, though my hair is much better than before the easy straight. keep the flat iron moving. i also use that brush that looks like a flat iron with bristles--i use it with the iron. i keep the hair taught with it till it cools and then clip it out of the way--my hair takes about 40 minutes to get completely kink free(it used to take 4 hours and still kinks were there). i use a very tiny bit of fabric softener through my hair to get the static out--(a very tiny bit--rub into damp palms and smooth through the hair)
good luck

I'm assuming you're African American, from your photo. You might need to try a chemical straightener first, but ask a beauty supply for a do it yourself kit and don't spend the money at a salon.
After that, daily care would be for shampoos and conditioners formulated to make hair straight (check a beauty supply, or my site at www.avonbymarcie.com), and then use a good ionic flattening iron along with some good flattening spray. (again, check my site (I recommend Mark) or a good beauty supply store).
The most important thing to remember is to SECTION your hair, starting with the bottom first, and work your way up. If you try to start from the top down, you're going to end up with total frizz.
This is not an easy process, plan to spend about 30-45 minutes on shoulder length hair, or longer for longer hair. The use of proper product will keep your hair healthy and from "frying", causing you to spend extra money later.
Best of luck.

use a striatener, and if that doesn't work, take a curling iron, and slowly move it over the kink to remove it.

Put in lots of conditioner and comb it out in sections. Don't relax it if you can help it.
