My dog as also eaten styrofoam. Well not TECHNICALLY styrofoam since its illegal in Canada, its all a different material now, but called the same thing.

He only ate a bit and I only knew he did when I saw it in his poop.

Take your dog to the vet though, mine had been sick for about 2 days and I think that is why. If it gets stuck it could be fatal.

Dogs should never eat styrafoam. The small particles it is made of will not digest. Sometimes they thend to chew it because it is soft. I would suggest a rag or rag toy. Not only do the small bits get lodged into their intestines and cause digestive problems, the lighter particles get lodged into their lungs. KEEP your dog away from styrafoam.

chances are you dog will pass it fine, next time keep it away from such dangers. If the dog is physically ill, call the vet asap.

styrofoam can really be dangerous because it doesn't melt in your body.

This may sound nasty but see if your dog's stool has blood in it. If so, take them to the vet either way just to be safe.
