I was in a play with this guy over the holidays. I was immediately attracted to him, but I thought he was way too old for me. Turns out we're the same age- just he looks and acts very mature. I am also quite mature. We go to different schools. I guess you could call us 'friends.' I just don't know how to proceed toward anything further. I only talk to him through email. Any ways or ideas to help make this go forward? Or should I consider myself 'out of his league' and move on? I can give more details of our personalities or interactions if it would help.

I mentioned hanging out over an email and he seemed interested. He said later on in the month because of finals and everything. I think we're going for coffee. How do I ask for his number? And I'm too nervous to tell him how I feel. I would rather he told me... but that only works in a perfect world.

No girlfriend for him. No boyfriend for me, either. I'm just too nervous about coming off too strong. I don't know him well enough.

don't give up to easily girl. why don't you let him know how you feel thru email. no one else has to know, you don't have to look him in his face when you tell him so there's no embarrassment nor shame. if you think your mature enough for him go for it girl. you would never know unless you ask.
see if he's dating someone first if yes then you save yourself a lot of embarrassment if no go for it girl

a guy is only out of your league when you dont try. suggest you two hang out at the park or an arcade--somewhere very platonic. if the chemistry is still there, proceed--if not, run away. that's the first step. if it moves any further than that, then hang out more. if you end up having a good time, even in awkward situations, then this is worth trying. good luck (=

well, since you email back and forth, friendly like, you could start out by off handedly asking him if he wanted to go to like one of your school's plays or a basketball game or something...just so you 2 could get some more hang out time. something that isn't too romantically pressing you know out with your friends or something liek that so there isn't time for awkwardness. start hanging out a little bit and see if you guys click. and if not maybe you will end up with another good friend.

Be honest. Tell him you like him and that you enjoyed being with him over the hollidays and that you really can't wait to see him and spend time with him again. That should work.

next time you email him, ask him to hang out with you. That would take you to the next step. Take things slow.

You have nothing to lose. Be confident.
Ask him to get together. Form a more intimate relationship with him. And see where it goes. Just be yourself!!
Good luck :)
