i agree with trimming your hair, maybe not every week though.
you should definately invest in a good deep conditioner, it'll help with the damage from straitening.

If you blow dry your hair, make sure that it is not soaking. Blot the water out with a towel first. Do not hold the dryer too close to your head; keep it at least six inches away from your hair and move the dryer constantly around your head. Protect the outer strands of your hair from being over-dried by bending over and blow drying your hair with your hair hanging upside down. Also, try not to dry your hair completely with the blow dryer. Stop while the hair is still slightly damp.

When I grew out my hair I avoided straightening and blow drying as much as possible. In the warmer weather I was just putting it up and trying not to shampoo it every day. I also refrained from highlighting it and used a good conditioner. What I also did was have the very ends trimmed off every ten weeks. My hair is long, shiny and healthy. I still give it a "rest" periodically just to let it get healthy again before I start to abuse it with styling products. I would also recommend getting a good brush from a stylist shop as this helps with preventing breaking and splitting ends. Good luck, now that my hair is finally long I just love it.

I use to have my hair very long and after a cut it so short it's being very hard to keep it good, what I recomend is to drink a cup of "gelatina" ( i'm not sure about how it is spel on english) every night, natural "gelatina" the one tahat comes in flags, u disolve it on hot water and drink every night and u'll see it work ;)

I am not sure about the hair drying part but you should eat healthy. It really helps. I even asked the person who does my hair.
Good luck :)

well, like over thanksgiving i chopped my hair off ( about ear leangth) right now im trying to grow it out, something that helps, is rubbing diced onions in you hair, yeah, so it smeels bad, but it will help your hair grow iut fast, if you style you hair everyday (i do too) maybe give your hair a break once or twice a week, and get a leave in conditionr too.

Flip your head upside down and brush your hair like that sometimes.
It might sound crazy but it really works!
