Not much of anything other than helping to prove the existance of a true God no matter how much they deny it. Even their "championed" science has done more to prove the evidence of God than they would like to believe. A few quotes perhaps?
Charles Darwin himself: "To suppose that the eye could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the higest degree."
Here's one from a Nobel Prize winning scientist names Arthur h. Compton:
"Science is the glimpse of God's purpose in nature. The very existence of the amazing world of the atom and radiation points to a purposeful creation, to the idea that there is a God and an intelligent purpose back of everything...An orderly universe (whether you want to say it 's just orderly because it fits humanities needs, still makes it orderly) testifies to the greatest statement ever uttered: 'In the beginning God...' You are thinking in a typically narrow "Christian" perspective. Atheists were NOT believing in Zeus and Thor long before they were NOT believing in your monotheistic religion.
Atheism is only one of many dis-beliefs in supernatural phenomenon. As humans have come to understand the causes of natural phenomenon, they have abandoned the idea that things were caused by "gods" and supernatural "powers." This, alone, resulted in tremendous advancement for mankind. At last, the sciences were free to flourish. Religion no longer held sway over the dissemination of knowledge.
Think about it... at some point some brave atheistic human being stopped thinking dogmatically and said, "maybe it's not evil spirits and demons causing this persons illness, maybe it's the sheep dung we've been rubbing on his open wounds. Maybe instead of praying to the gods to save him, we should try BATHING him."
Each and every time a person chooses a rational, intelligent explanation over a faith based, supernatural one, the overall intelligence level of mankind increases. Atheists are the biggest participants in this way of thinking.
And if nothing else, you have two devil-worshiping atheists to thank for the computer you are typing on. Bill Gates invented Windows, and Steve Wozniak co-invented the Apple computer.
By the way, both men are widely regarded as two amazingly altruistic individuals. Bill Gates AN ATHEIST, heads the most charitable organization in the world, and Woz spends his time teaching underprivileged children how to use computers.
So much for idolatry.

One need only look at the fruits of a secular society to understand what atheism has accomplished. Whether it's medical research, jazz, literature astronomy etc. These are all activities that have notihing to do with a belief in God. So atheism has accomplished pretty much anything of note throughout history. And generally, when religion 'accomplishes' something it is to burn someone at the stake or start a war based on bigotry and hatred. Christianity in particular is a junk religion whcih has wreaked havoc on the world through cultural imperialism.

Okay first of all. I am Christian and I firmly believe that it is not a wise assumption that every one who disagrees with you is being used by the devil. "The Art of War" (A book that has been used by most of the greatest generals in history) Says "In War, Deception is every thing" There is certinaly a War between Heaven and hell. and I bet that both god and the devil understands the inportence of deception in warfare. So I would not jump to conclusions about who is using who until you see the whole picture.
both God and Satin have used Christianity to do both good and evil things, both God and Satin have used Atheism to do good and evil things. Christianity and Atheism are states of mind,
In general Christianity has provided Hope, Love, Tolerance (True not as much tolerance as some would like), Forgiveness, and a peace of mind to every one who embraces it fully.

Accomplishments like the Crusades, Olaf's slaughtering of 200,000 Norse for refusing to convert after Olaf swung a deal with the Poop, er Pope, the inquisition, the devastation of various Polynesian societies, Vlad the Impaler's butchering 100,000 Transylvanians for refusing to convert, all the pogroms committed on so many indigenous or non-Christian groups in the name of god, burning women as witches on the word of brain-washed children?

Queen, for crying out loud, your logic has more holes than swiss cheese.
Yeah, "accountability" to your God did wonders for the behavior of Andrea Yates, Ted Haggard, and the perpetrators of the Inquisition and Salem witch trials.
"Norway, Iceland, Australia, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Japan, the Netherlands, Denmark and the UK are among the least religious societies on earth. They are also the healthiest, as indicated by life expectancy, adult literacy, per capita income, educational attainment, gender equality, homicide rate and infant mortality"

I don't think Atheism, Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion can really claim to have accomplishments. The majority of accomplishments would only be defined through that religion's faith, right?
Instead, religions inspire and influence.

Actually, it's been around since before religion existed. It is the default. Existed before any devil thing was written into that book of yours. It's only a LABEL, not a THING. Labels can not accomplish anything. Only people do. And their beliefs are not a factor in their accomplishments.

You seem to make the assumption that something must serve a purpose in order to be true. I just picked up my glasses and put them back down again. It didn't accomplish anything, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
