I think what you're getting confused is the fact that almost all (99%)+ calico and tortoiseshell cats are females; something to do with the coat color chromosomes. In the rare cases, where you see a calico or tortie male, they are almost always sterile. However, sterile does not mean they don't need to be neutered either, because it just prevents reproduction. The sexual instincts that make intact males hard to live with is still there until they are neutered.

no way,my very orange Edgar just got neutered last week....
But yes, most Calico kitties are female, the few males are almost always steril, but you should still get them fixed because having an unloaded gun dousn't get rid of the urge to shoot, the frustration because they can't, or the spraying....
neutering removes the testicles, and unless something strange happens, all male cats are born with those, even if they are empty.

Sometimes kittens are orange because of their father... You have to go get the Male's neutered!

Uh no.....Nibbles my orange Momma Cat gave birth to Peanut an orange male. Peant had peanuts if you catch my drift and both cats got altered when the time was right.

All orange cats are not male, I have 4 sitting out on my deck that are strays and everyone of them are female.

No. All orange females and calico males are sterile. Orange males are common and normal (unless there is another factor other then coat to base it on.)

My cat is orange and she is female she had kittens. So no, not all orange female cats are sterile either
