Although it is true that baking soda does clean your teeth, it is not recommended that you use it very often as it is very abrasive and wears the enamel off your teeth, as well as can cause damage to your gums. try buying the tooth paste that has it in it, it's a much safer way to use it.

I have heard this but am not a fan of baking soda - but you can buy toothpaste with baking soda in it for whitening of teeth - I believe Colgate makes it - check out the toothpaste aisle!@~

Yes, it will whiten your teeth but you'll be inclined to lick your own butt crack to get the taste out of your mouth once you're done.
Peroxide gargle works well too.

its supposed to. it doesn't always work though. i found that taking listerine and dabbing your toothbrush in that, then dabbing on bread crumbs really scrapes off plaque. i know it sounds gross, but it really works great. the best way to use baking soda is to pour a drop of water and stir it around and use it as a paste.

That is what I hear, but I brush with it because it gets my teeth cleaner.

It helps but don't expect a miracle cure, it may only lighten it a fraction of a shade.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's in most toothpastes already.
It's actually a good exfoliator for your skin too!
