Usually this is the worst of the growing out that you will have to deal with... so be patient... all of your waiting is about to pay off. In the meantime, if you have a regular stylist you may want to go have your hair "shaped" into something a little more manageable that won't take the length off.

I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat right now. I'm about to go NUTS!!!! I'm using Horse mane n tail shampoo and conditioner - makes it look fuller. Pull it back a lot, use barettes, clips, headbands. It's the biggest pain I've ever been through hair wise. I'll never have it cut this short again, that's for sure.

Four months and it's only to your ears?! Man, after two months, my hair was to my shoulders! But then, my hair has always grown fast.
Just keep going back to the salon and having it trimmed and shaped. That will help your hair and you both look and feel better.
BTW, I've since gone back to the super short look. It suits me better.
Good luck.

One day at a time. I enjoy it. I like to see the progress. I started out by shaving my head! I know that is crazy, but I did it, and now it is to my shoulders. I'm going for midback. Good luck in your hair growing journey!

It is a pain...try to experiment with different styles. Growing your hair out is a great opportunity to see what length is most flattering for you!

This may sound crazy, but get it cut a lot. When trying to grow it out, we tend to allow it to go longer between styling and that is when it gets bad. Keep the amount you get cut to a bare minimum, but keep a fresh style.

Taking a multi-vitamin for hair, skin & nails helps my hair grow as well as Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. The Nioxin is not cheap but I swear it works and keeps my hair healthy.

Keep a healthy diet and high on protein. My hair grows fairly fast so it isn't something I think about. A diet, I don't believe will speed it up that is noticable difference.
