I was watching something on TV the other day about a new religion. The people worship penguins, and beleive a penguin named James could perfrom miracles. They say that we evolved from him, and when his wife die, he brought her back to life. It seems really weird. Do christans believe this?

No. Unless the religion revolves around Jesus Christ as the Messiah and Son of God, Second person of the Holy Trinity, and in the belief that you can only go to God the Father through Jesus the Son, Christians do not believe in it. You must be totally ignorant about Christianity to ask such a question.
