Well, there is the basic philosophical argument that runs like this. Assume the creationist postulate that anything demonstrating complexity must have been designed. Further, that the designer is more complex than what s/he designs. We run up against a dead end when we get to God. To have designed the universe, God must be more complex than anything in the universe. To be so complex, God requires an even more complex designer. In other words, who created God?
The creationist may respond that s/he just assumes that God exists sufficiently in and of himself. To which I respond, why can't the universe exist sufficiently in and of itself? My theory, that the universe itself fulfills the "God-function" is more economical than the creationists'.

If you can't bother to read the full question and address my valid points, don't even bother posting.
And giving the question thumps down simply because it makes you nervous only shows you immaturity Christians.

The believe in God is based on Faith. To question God or if He was made or if He is All Powerful is something the enemy Satan the Devil would come up with. God has done everything for us, counting the gift of Free Will which is the reason why we must answer for the things that we do or do not do. Do not fall in the trap the enemy has set for us and question the love or wisdom of God. Satan knows his end is not a good one and wants to take as many of us that he can take. We are too fast to blame God for anything bad that happens to us and He's the first one we call on when we've done something wrong and need help to get out of it. If you do not believe in God then I feel sorry for you and can just hope that your eyes will be open to the truth before it is too late to do you any good. God is loving and forgiving but forever and not for everything that we do. The end of this world is close and the new earth will be here soon, ruled by Jesus and when that happens it will be too late to decide.

Philosophers’ and theorist have argued about what is the truth from the classical period to present. Many disciplines agree that a sign of truth is the quest for, or inquiring of knowledge. Here we find ourselves auguring “what created God?” And the scientific disciplines that study the universe are learning that there is much more to know.
William James wrote “Shut your eyes and think of yonder clock on the wall, and you get just such a true picture or copy of its dial. But your idea of its 'works' (unless you are a clockmaker) is much less of a copy, yet it passes muster, for it in no way clashes with reality.” Even I know that the universe is still expanding and so I must wonder, will it one day collapse inward and become what it was? In my small mind, the scientist, the philosophers and I, a man of faith, are all searching for the same truth, and that truth is GOD, or Good Orderly Direction.
When I close my eyes and think of yonder universe, I know that the creator of the universe is greater than the universe and that creator could even create themselves. And none of that clashes with reality. One of the wonderful things about faith is that faith, like the universe, has no known boundaries or limits.

Here is my opinion:
In the beginning there was the Everything and it was merged together with the Nothing. At the same time there was No Existence there was also Total Existence. For some reason truly beyond me, the Everything separated from the Nothing, and thus The One was created. When The One was created, matter was also born and this was the big bang.
Just my thoughts on the subject. I won't really know this until I re-merge back with The One.

We, as humans, cannot comprehend many things. This also includes how God was created. We first need to understand that humans don't know everything. If we did then we would have no need for God or Jesus. It is simple. We don't know everything. WE actually know very little compared to God.
God always was and always will be. Our human minds were not created to understand this. That is just the way it is. We should not need facts, but faith. And Grace. I hope that is enough for you!!!

If mere humans were able to figure out all things about God then God would not be Who I think He is. The very fact that there is so much unknown when humans are supposedly the smartest creatures on the planet is in and of itself proof that God exists.

Human mind has created god. God absolutely DOES exist - in the minds of people who believe in him/it. Which is a very powerful and real existence, all things considered.

The first religions were polytheistic ones many many thousands of years ago to explain natural weather phenomena. This is the strongest theory from cave paintings, who knows how old religious thought actually is.
