I love it when people want ot bash other religions. Why bother? They follow someone, they do basic good. So what if mormons believe what they do or JW. What's it to you. You can't save anyone.

How do you know what someone can and can't do with their words and/or actions?

A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door to get a householder to be "saved". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!

That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.

(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.

Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

God calls us to spread the Gospel so that is what we will do. What is the reason that you say we can't save anyone? Is it because you said we can't? Until I see you heal a blind man or raise someone from the dead I think I will follow the word of God.

I think you've got a good point, im christian and i find hat the automatic view of other religions is that they're wrong when, if you look what most other religions believe in, most of worship 'god' just with a different name and most believe they should do good deeds and help one another. the different relgions are just based on different interpretations of the bible. I havnt seen narnia but im told that towards the end two conflicting religions find them selves in heaven together because if u beak down what they believe they're really both part of the same religion. i think most people should realise this instead of going with the general assumption that the other religions are bad and wrng. most follow and god and believe in doing good, whats wrong with that.

Your partially right, we cannot save anyone, only the Holy Spirit can. However we can plant seed that may be used by the Holy Spirit to save someone.

The idea of spiritual planting, watering, and harvesting is in the scripture. We are just doing our part. We are planting seed.

We can't save only Jesus Can. Religion bashing is not of God so true Christians should not do so.

You are absolutely right, I can save no one. But when you come to this site be prepared for religious answers, if you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen.

You are 100% correct I can not save anyone.
I couldn't even save myself.
Only Jesus Christ offers salvation and reconciliation with God.
But then that's just the beliefs of this Christian Pastor.

Because in this clueless society we actually compete for God too. "My God's better than your God" :P . . . what everyone fails to remember is that God has no religion. He loves us all. Each and every one. I don't think there are certain
conditions or a specific requirement that we have to meet in order for God to love us. So many people forget the big picture.

The truth of the matter is that people can't be saved unless they want to be saved. Ultimately, it has nothing to do with what you can do for them, but what they need to do for themselves. You can only be helped if you WANT to be helped.

I do not need to save anyone.

Jesus said what he said . . . to simply keep it straight is just that.

When other people come along and latch their wagon on to Christianity, and then bend and change what Jesus said, it is normal to question what they are doing, and why.

Thus the age-old tug and pull . . .
