Hi all. I have a recurring dream about once a month about my grandparents' home. I had a happy childhood visiting them. My grandfather died in 1992 and my grandmother in 2000. In this recurring dream, I go back to their house, and the current family who lives there accepts my presence there. Sometimes, they are away for a vacation and myself and members of my family go back there to stay there while they are on vacation. In these dreams, it is understood that my grandparents are dead. I am also always at my current age (29). So, in other words, I don't think they are just based on nostalgia for the past, because there seems to be reality in them. Occasionally, my grandmother is in these dreams. Last night, she was. The current family was there, but so was my grandma, and so was I. In the dream, the family's kids went out to play, and my grandma said, 'Isn't it nice these young kids live here?" My grandma was sick so I knew her time was limited. Any ideas on what this means?

It doesn't sound like anything unusual at all. Just a combination of memories and messages from the beyond. I follow the guidance of my invisible grandfathers. I too had a dream about the family house and all that. It has meant a lot to me as I now can interpret the dream. Trust your feelings.

I think it is just a memory you like so much that it is asserting it's self to be a prominant memory in your dreams. This will change when another happy memory asserts it's self above that one.
The mind is sorting out thousands of thoughts, sensory perceptions, memories, and emotional reactions while you are asleep, that made me think of this.

You had a strange dream, and you think about it from time to time.

Your brain is working in the background to try to straighten it all out.

Because you keep thinking of it, it keeps coming back. It means nothing, and you should move on.

It's your brain telling you. You can interpret it yourself. Can your brain possibly be wrong about how it interprets the dreams it dreams? How can anybody else know what your brain is saying to itself? How your brain decides to take it must be correct.

Your brain must know you'll go onto Answers.Yahoo and ask other people. This is the answer your brain knows it will get.
