Yes, eating in a hurry doesn't give the body time to porperly digest the food taken in, so it quickly gets converted to fat and placed in reserve till you manage to get enough exercise to burn it out. which can take forever

You can end up eating more cal. that way
due to the fact it takes your brain 20 min to tell you that your stomach is full.
